The day finally arrived!
The venue was amazing.  It really does live up to its name.  Click on the picture of the sign and it will take you to the Castle's web site. It's a beautiful reproduction of a European Castle.

(I have some pictures but they are hazy, the day wasn't the clearest.)

Being a preacher, I know it is more than impolite to take photographs during a wedding, unless you are the hired professional photographer, so I don't have any of the ceremony itself, but the string quartet was playing preludes before and I unashamedly snapped a picture of them.  Also, being a preacher I've been to a lot more weddings than most, and this was the most awsome of any of them.  Prettiest, best balanced and a wonderful reception. A string quartet playing preludes
Between the wedding ceremony itself and the reception dinner, there was something I don't know what to call it so I'll call in and appetizer interlude.  It was where the guests gathered as they converted the room where the ceremony was held to the room where the dinner would be served. pre-reception food table.
Reception room before dinner It's been a long time since the wedding and the preparation of this web page.  I think this is the room where dinner was served, the important thing about it is that the centerpiece on each table was a stack of books, because after the interlude as we approached what became the dinning room were were handed .  . .
Library card A card from the back of a library book!  It was the most creative seating assignment notification I've ever seen.  I'm sure most of you know that Lauren is a librarian by trade, therefore the books on the tables above and this wonderful card that Sandra's kept along with the wedding bulletin.

(And now you know why I chose old books on a library shelf for the background on this web page)
And then there was the reception dinner.  The string quartet was gone, the disc jockey had arrived.  Reception room

There were tons of people present, and I have a bunch of poor pictures of them so I'm only posting the ones with the poeple whose names I know.  I wish I had taken a picture of those seated at our table because they were all very interesting, but alas, I don't have a single one.
Lauren and Brandon  What a surprise that I start with the happy couple, who really do look happy.
  Their first Dance!
Lauren Dancing with her father.  I know I'm not a professional photographer because had I been I'd have a picture of Lauren's mother, but I failed to get one.    Lauren with her father
But a do have one of the mother and father of the groom, although my sister photobombed it.

(not really, it's just this is the only picture I have of Jim and Ellen in the same frame)

My sister Janie and her daughter Meghan.  I think they had more fun than anyone else there.  Meghan and Janie
Speaking of siblings, here's Joe, having the time of his life!  Joey just standing there
And here he is toasting his brother and new sister-in-law which he did really well.  Joey toasting

Lauren showed great restraint
as she didn't shove a piece of
the cake into Brandon's mouth.

But that wasn't all the desserts.  We helped ourselves to all sorts of goodies at the dessert table. Dessert table

What a wonderful afternoon and evening on this special day.
